Qualifications:

 

1.       Good academic record with at least 55% (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST or those who passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. Degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7-point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. 

2.       Candidates should have qualified the National Educational Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC for those with post-graduate degree. 

Note:

1.       The candidates having Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for PG level and UG level teaching.  The candidates having M.Phil Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for UG level teaching only. 

2.       A relaxation of the minimum marks at the PG level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the candidates who have cleared the JRF examination conducted by the UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989, when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination were 50%. 

3.       *Temporary vacancies are up to the end of academic session 2006-2007.

4.       3% reservation is for blind and orthopaedically handicapped categories.  However, the prescribed qualifications will in no way be relaxed for these categories.

5.       ** National level test (NET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for the post of Librarian. 

6.       F  Candidates who are IT proficient, preferably having  ‘O’ level DOEACC certification or equivalent will be preferred.

7.       Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should mention their category specifically in their application forms and attach certificate of proof from the competent authority.

8.      The college reserves the right to change/alter the nature and number of post(s) and whether or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.

9.      If suitable candidates are not available for the posts reserved for SC/ST category, General candidate will be appointed on Ad-hoc basis for the current academic session.

10.  Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification or the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be necessarily called for the interview.
